Regards. 2018 Dmax Ive had my 2017 LS 2WD Manual D-max for nearly a year now and got it as an ex-lease vehicle with only 27,000 k on the clock. casting looks very strange almost all the teeth where missing chunks and the cast looked flakey. Dmax lift kit problems are always going to be accentuated because of this, and you need to be careful going too high. A lift can mean the vehicle has stronger springs and so flex won't increase, other springs with greater/higher set but not so weight holding may increase it a little. I believe their has been a firmware update for the safety side of things on the BT50/Dmax which makes it react a little less harshly, and Ive heard good things about it so far. I dont know how many of these have been covered by warranty, but often by the time you reach those sort of kilometres the warranty is long gone. The reasoning was simple; a DPF (or DPD as Isuzu calls them) is just another thing to go wrong, and I know Isuzu have issues with them in their trucks (despite being one of the better DPFs on the market today). Once the car is turned off and back on the warning light disappears (traction control light) and I can drive away no problem. (In most cases). Are you looking at the figures after each alignment? If your truck has been lifted make sure the lift kit you have is a spindle style kit not a control arm drop. If the steel is incorrect, its not going to fix that, and Isuzu would certainly have a greater leg to stand on if you did end up with cracking. Thanks for the update. I have found the best way to replicate the problem is to hold the gearbox in manual mode 1st gear, accelerate reasonably hard, then back off the throttle and let the vehicle slow down using mainly compression until gently using the brakes to come to a complete stop, once the vehicle stops---THUD! Ford dont offer a cooler and the dealer wont fit an after market one. I hear they are quite hard to come by. 1. This warranty is against any manufacturer defects, premature wear or breakage. A rear diff lock makes a big difference in these, and I suspect we will end up with one down the track. It seems the cracks are caused by either stress or metal fatigue and are most likely to show up on the suspension towers, near the VIN plate or low down on the inner guards. I would get the front weighed first though, as any heavy bull bar is likely to put you over the front axle weights, especially if you have bash plates or a winch as well.
